3rd Tuesday Lunchtime Concert Series Presents the Pelta-Tiller Band

3rd Tuesday Lunchtime Concert Series Presents the Pelta-Tiller Band In-Person

David and Enion Pelta-Tiller, leaders of the group Taarka,  perform unique original music with their trio to the Boulder Public Library! Influenced by a broad range of music from Celtic and Gypsy Jazz, from classical to chamber pop, and bringing it all together with effortless grace and "gravity-defying dexterity" (R2 Magazine, UK), David and Enion have been writing and performing their creative, appealing music for 16 years. Singer and conservatory-trained violinist Enion began venturing into the worlds of traditional Irish, Gypsy Jazz, Romanian and Balkan, Indian Carnatic music, experimental rock, and new classical music at an early age. Mandolinist/octave mandolinist/singer David's equally voracious musical appetite was fed by the adventurous picking scene in Virginia, where a Klezmer sher was as much fair game as a Civil War Era fiddle tune, and by time spent studying classical guitar at conservatory. They are joined by long-time Taarka collaborator and award-winning bassist Troy Robey.
