Reservoirs: Opening Ceremony In-Person
Join artist/musician Michiko Theurer and friends for the opening ceremony of the "Reservoirs" exhibition. This is a participatory musical event intended to cultivate space for grounding and connecting with personal intentions.
Attendees will be invited to experience the sounds of Boulder Creek filtered through everyday materials and to take home a small stone to use as an anchor for supporting and/or cultivating a personal intention around climate action. The event will feature a poetic invitation by writer and behavioral ecologist Ambika Kamath, music by Liangyeh Tai and Michiko Theurer, and objects, sounds, and stories shared by community members across the Boulder Creek watershed.
Participants are also invited to return with their chosen stone for the Reservoirs of Joy event on March 18, for a second participatory musical ceremony to share and celebrate our collective commitments to climate action.
Access the many formats of "The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World" in our online catalog. One Book One Boulder is generously sponsored by the Boulder Library Foundation.
