SUMMARY:STUDIO 24: Build a Bot Workshop: Program & Design Your First Robot
DESCRIPTION:Explore the fundamentals of robotics and programming in this
interactive workshop hosted by Maker-In-Residence Ayesha Wilson. You'll
have the opportunity to program a robot friend that follows you and learn
about the basics of robot design. The session will also include a special
meet-and-greet with a local FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) team\, who will
share their experiences and insights from designing a robot as a rookie
team in this year's challenge. Participants will gain practical skills in
both hardware and software aspects of robotics\, understanding the
challenges and rewards of building a functional robot. This workshop is a
great way to dive into robotics\, offering both instruction and inspiration
from experienced peers.\n\nThis workshop is for teens only. Please note
that youth under the ages of 14 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver
in the makerspace and youth ages 16 and older must have an adult caregiver
sign the risk and release waiver in advance of participating in the
workshop.\n\nDon't miss the Robotics open house from 3-4 following this
event! No registration is needed for the open house\, but registration is
required for this workshop.\n\n\nElectronics Studio\n\nFrom April to June\,
STUDIO 24 will be dedicated to playful and practical explorations of
electronics. Classes and drop-in experiences will cover a variety of topics
from the fundamentals of circuits and coding to creative projects that
bring technology and art together. Electronics studio experiences will be
facilitated by Maker-In-Residence\, Ayesha Wilson\, alongside Creative
Technologists and community educators. Electronics studio is for everyone!
Whether you're an experienced tinkerer or you're brand new to electronics\,
we invite you to create\, learn\, and explore topics in electronics in a
supportive and creative community space. \n\nElectronics
