The “edge” of space is referred to as the Karman line, 100 kilometers above the surface of the Earth. Only 562 women and men have ever crossed that line. How do we know, because we measured and collected altitude data! Also, people start floating around in zero gravity. Rad!

Arduino can be combined with various sensors and even a recording disk to do the same. How high can our balloon go? We’re going to find out. Learn to build a flight recorder collecting altitude, air pressure, temperature and GPS location data in a tiny, light-weight package.

Appropriate for ages 14 and up. Younger astronauts can attend with a parent or guardian, age 14+. (One set of electronics per registrant)
