Poetry for the Planet presented by the Arbor Institute

Poetry for the Planet presented by the Arbor Institute Online

We are living in extraordinary times. Existing now at the intersection of covid, climate change, and deep cultural uprising, we’re all having to re-examine where we find solace and light in our lives. What better time to connect with our deep love for our home planet than right now, and what better day to come together in community and reflection than the Summer Solstice?

The Arbor Institute presents one musician and six poets from the Colorado Front Range sharing their Love Letters to the Earth in round two of the Institute’s Poetry for the Planet solstice series — hosted by the poet, storyteller, activist and convivial howler Brice Maiurro.

Join us for this live digital performance and online community gathering. Live Performances by: Bianca Mikahn, Jesse Lee Pacheco, Eliza Beth Whittington, Gwendalynn Roebke, Franklin Cruz, Ahja Fox, Ira Liss.

We respectfully acknowledge that we are performing, organizing and gathering together for this event on the traditional, ancestral, unceded territory of the Cheyenne, Arapaho and Ute People who have stewarded this land throughout generations.
