Pinball Engineering

Are you curious about how things work? After playing a few games on a 1970s pinball machine we'll open the game and dive into the electromechanical wonders inside. We'll discuss basic principles of electricity and magnetism and see how they're used to put the pinball in motion, to keep score and drive the features and behavior of the game. Some of the working examples from Mark Gibson's FunWithPinball projects will be used for demonstration and hands on exploration.

Space is limited, please register to secure your spot. Appropriate for ages 16 and up.

All attendees must fill out our Acknowledgement of Risk and Release Form prior to use of makerspace.
