Wooden Bento Boxes
Make a reusable Japanese-style lunch box for school or work with local maker, Tracy Bellehumeur. You can personalize your bento box with a message or image that will be laser-cut into the box cover. To safely store your lunch portions each day we will make a "beeswax wrap" fabric liner that fits snuggly into your bento box and rinses easily. Add some compartments, perhaps a decorative ribbon, et voilà...bon appétit! No experience with the laser cutter is necessary! Please be aware that we will be sanding wood, then applying a salad bowl varnish, so there will be some dust and vapors (dust masks supplied or bring your own). Close toed shoes required.
Space is limited, please register to reserve your spot. Appropriate for ages 12 and up.
All attendees must fill out our Acknowledgement of Risk and Release Form prior to use of makerspace.
