BeeChicas: Meet the Bees and Hold a Drone! In-Person
Meet the bees and hold a drone! Learn about the fascinating ways that honey bees communicate and make decisions. Registration required, all ages. Adult supervision required for children under 8.
If you are concerned about bee sting allergies, there is indoor viewing to observe holding the drones (which don't sting) from behind the windows. You may find it helpful to wear long sleeves as well, entirely optional. The program starts with an informational talk in Mt Sanitas and then will move to the Japanese Garden to meet the bees.
This program is part of several Seed to Table events and services at the library that focus on sustainable living. https://boulderlibrary.org/seed-to-table/ Check the BeeChicas' instagram feed and Boulder Library Hives #beeliterate!
