Summer of Discovery: Fiske Infrared Cameras In-Person
Our eyes can only see visible light, but what if you could see in the infrared? With our infrared (IR) camera, you can! We’ll talk about different wavelengths of light, how we can "see" objects that emit heat and infrared light with an IR camera, and the importance of using different types of light to learn about the universe. We demonstrate some differences between visible light and infrared light and touch on the idea of the greenhouse effect. Suitable for ages 8-14. Registration required.
