SPINZILLA: Global Spinning Competition

SPINZILLA: Global Spinning Competition

Join the frenzy! Spinzilla is a world-wide spinning event where competing teams and individuals challenge each other to see who can spin the most yarn in a week! Although the competition lasts only a week, many teams and individuals are already training, preparing their fiber and monstering up their spinning skills.

The Boulder Public Library will be hosting a space for a frenzy of spinners to gather in the Canyon Gallery October 3 from 10a-2p. Teams and individuals partipating in Spinzilla are encouraged to join. We will provide volunteers to assist with counting and winding yarn off bobbins into skeins, as well as moral support. All are welcome to cheer on the spinners and perhaps witness a world record get set.

We will have a demonstration area set up as well with a master spinner, so on-lookers can try their hand at spinning too!

All attendees must fill out our Acknowledgement of Risk and Release Form prior to use of makerspace.

Generously sponsored by the Boulder Library Foundation.
