Wild Fruit Foraging and Harvesting with Community Fruit Rescue In-Person
Start off Pollinator Appreciation Month by enjoying the fruits of our pollinator's labor... Literally! Community Fruit Rescue, in partnership with the Boulder Public Library, will be hosting a fruit foraging and harvesting event at a local Boulder property.*
After collecting our fruit, we will peel and wash our bounty, and drink cider straight from the cider press! Community Fruit Rescue will also share recipes, tips and tricks for your own harvested fruit.
This is an all-ages, family friendly event. Registration is required and limited. All interested registrants will also need to sign up as a volunteer with Community Fruit Rescue, available here.
*To protect the privacy of the property owner, the exact location will be shared only with registered participants.
September has been declared Pollinator Appreciation Month to encourage our community to celebrate our pollinators and take action to protect them. Visit beeboulder.org for more events. This program is part of several Seed to Table events and services at the library that focus on sustainable living. https://boulderlibrary.org/seed-to-table/ Check the BeeChicas' instagram feed and Boulder Library Hives #beeliterate #BeeBoulder
