Spanish Modern Literature Club/ Club de Literatura Moderna en Espanol  In-Person

Our group selects books originally written in Spanish by internationally acclaimed authors from all Spanish speaking countries. We are a diverse and welcoming group, sharing a love of good literature with anyone who joins us. Participants vary in age from 30-80, coming from all walks of life and representing 8 nationalities. Every round table discussion includes: a brief summary of our text for the month, reaction to ideas/themes, questions about vocabulary/regional expressions, background and historical context of the country where the novel takes place. We read a book or collection of short stories/essays every month. We are often a place where a newcomer to Boulder who speaks Spanish makes connections with the community.
