Geopolitics Discussion Group In-Person
Co-sponsored by the library and the Boulder Chapter of the United Nations Association, this group meets on the last Thursday of each month from 1- 3 p.m. in the Boulder Creek Meeting Room. The UNA selects a topic of geopolotical interest for each month and invites a local resource person to join the group to give some background on the chosen topic. Recent topics have included, “Palestine: Gaza and the West Bank (the resource person was a recent asylum seeker from Gaza)” , "International Sport, Geopolitics, and Social Influence", and “Global Discontents.” The brief presentation is followed by discussion led by the moderator. Discussions range widely touching on the intermix of political, social, ecological and economic factors. Monthly topics are posted on UNABoulder.org.
