Canceled: Cosmology and Modern Physics In-Person
A history of and schedule for the group can be found at http://www.sackett.net/cosmology.htm. The group usually meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month in the Main Library's Boulder Creek Room. We view and discuss up to two half-hour lectures per meeting on topics related to cosmology. Lectures consider the big bang, inflation, spacetime, quantum gravity, black holes, dark matter, and dark energy. The lecture format is “interuptus”. At any time anyone in the audience can ask a question and the video is paused while we seek an answer.
