Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra's 'Meet the Maestro' with Michael Butterman

Join Boulder Philharmonic Music Director Michael Butterman for an inside look at the orchestra! In addition to exploring what happens inside the concert hall, we’ll also see how orchestral music used in movies can help drive the overall story and shape the way we feel about characters and events. From the piccolo to percussion, the endless palette of sounds and textures found in the orchestra makes movies come alive! We’ll learn about the basics of the orchestra and how it functions, as well as the important role that the conductor plays. We’ll finish with an advance look at the musical magic created by Pixar Studios that will be featured in an all-Pixar Boulder Phil concert coming up on March 23. More at boulderphil.org.
