The group usually meets on the first Monday of the month in the Main Library's Flatirons Conference Room. The Arabic Literature Group reads books originally written in Arabic (or occasionally French) that have been translated into English. Since the group began in 1996, it has discussed works from Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, and Yemen.
