Garden Planting and Community Workday with Urban Farm Colorado In-Person
Come dig in the dirt and learn how we get the Edible Learning Garden ready for a new spring season of growing. We will cover: amending the soil, which plants are considered cold season crops, how to properly plant seeds outside, and how we planned out the garden. Please bring gardening gloves and hand tools if you have them. This program is part of several Seed to Table events and services at the library that focus on sustainable living. https://boulderlibrary.org/seed-to-table/ .
This event is part of our Earth Month celebrations for April. A variety of area events are planned to encourage the community to reflect and focus on climate action. In addition to Earth Month, the city is coordinating other programs and events throughout the rest of the year to focus on the significant role ecosystems (forests, streams, wildlife habitats, agricultural and urban areas, and more!) can play in addressing and responding to climate change. A better understanding of these connected systems can help the community meet its Climate Commitment goals. Visit https://boulderlibrary.org/seed-to-table/ for more details.
Generously sponsored by the Boulder Library Foundation.
**This event will be weather-dependent.**
