Sensors & Soldering Drop-in
These open sessions are designed to introduce and expose the community to exciting technologies at BLDG 61. We will rotate weekly themes featuring mini-demos and staff will be available to brainstorm your project. Work during these sessions will be limited to the theme of the day.
This week's theme:
Sensors & Soldering
Join Arielle Hein for drop-in Electronics hours! This drop-in session will be dedicated to getting students up and running with the Sparkfun Redboard and the Arduino programming environment. Arielle will demonstrate a selection of sensor options that can be utilized in hardware projects, and there will be the opportunity for students to integrate these into their projects. Arielle will be available for help with circuits, soldering, and Arduino programming.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops and download the Arduino IDE prior to the workshop. BLDG 61 can provide up to 8 laptops, which will be available on a first-come first-served basis.
Youth 13 years old and younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult, registration suggested but not required (so we know how many to expect!).
All attendees must fill out our Acknowledgement of Risk and Release Form prior to use of makerspace.
Generously sponsored by the Boulder Library Foundation.
