CSED Week: Computer Science Unplugged

CSED Week: Computer Science Unplugged In-Person

Learning to code is about learning a method to communicate instructions and to sequence them to generate a result. Coding also involves going through a design process that almost always includes a first product, testing it, and then making changes. There are lots of ways to do this, but one is to learn how to code on paper first. In this workshop we'll have learners work with their guardians to create something, and then to write instructions for creating that item or process. Although we will test and improve our programs many times, we have lots of ways to keep this fun, humorous and positive as children learn about the design process and write codes on paper.

Details: Children should be able to read and write. This workshop is aimed at children aged 7- 12. The intention is for children to work with their parents. This is not intended as a drop off workshop.

This event is part of Boulder Computer Science Education Week, December 2-9, 2017.
