(Un)Bound Book Arts Workshop
Event box

The (Un)Bound weekend workshops explore the fundamentals of text + texture in book art from the ground up. Instructors will lead a three-part series culminating in the production of a unique book of the participant's own design, creation, and content.
Materials will be provided, and participants are encouraged to bring ideas for their book to the first session, as well as any special text or items you may want to incorporate into your book.
Participants should plan to attend ALL THREE workshops for this series:
- 4/23, 1-3p: Writing Workshop--how to turn an idea into a book object
- 4/30, 1-3p: Bookbinding & Design--learn different bookbinding techniques and start constructing your book
- 5/14, 1-4p: Chapbook Production--finalize projects and showcase work
Space is limited, registration is required, one completed registration form commits you to all three dates.
(Un)Bound is appropriate for ages 14 and up.
This series is hosted by Eric Shoemaker and Poetry Is, a local organization dedicated to bringing poetry into theater, film, dance, publishing, or any new style of project.
All attendees must fill out our Acknowledgement of Risk and Release Form prior to use of makerspace.
Generously sponsored by the Boulder Library Foundation.
