Living History: Maria Von Trapp In-Person
The story behind and beyond The Sound of Music. Maria von Trapp (1905–1987) was a woman of faith and unwavering determination. From orphan to baroness, she led her family from refugee life to international fame as a singing group. Through stories spanning pre-World War II Austria to the film’s 1965 release, explore the Trapp Family’s journey to a new home in America.
Performed by Elsa Wolff: storyteller, singer, and speaker with nearly 30 years of experience.
