Bojagi Lotus Leaf Tea Coasters In-Person
연잎다포 (Lotus Leaf Tea Mat) is traditionally made as a practical household item in Korean needlework traditions. Crafted from lightweight, translucent fabrics such as Mosi (ramie), hemp, or Oksa silk, it is used to cover a tea tray and serve as a tea mat. Rooted in Korean tea culture, the lotus symbolizes resilience, purity, and renewal. Participants hand-stitch Lotus Leaf Tea Coasters using Mosi (ramie). Historically, Lotus Leaf Tea Mats and Bojagi share the same functional lineage—textiles made to cover, wrap, and carry.
This Workshop is hosted in collaboration with LightdanceBojagi by Hana Kim.
