Connecting Youth to Business and ALL Business to the Environment In-Person
Discover how every career can shape a sustainable future! This event will feature short presentations from three high school students and five business representatives, a panel discussion, and an interactive audience input activity. It is based on the ALL Careers Approach to Education which emphasizes that environmental understanding is relevant to all professions — not just those traditionally labeled as “green” or “environmental” careers. Across Boulder and beyond, businesses in a wide range of sectors are making strides toward sustainability, demonstrating the importance of the ALL Careers approach and serving as an inspiration for students.
The program will also introduce: 1) the Green Business Mentor List through which businesses who are “going green” express their interest in interacting with students; and 2) the Seal of Climate Literacy, which students can achieve in BVSD schools. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Schedule of Events:
Welcome Reception: 6:30 – 7:00
Presentation starts: 7:00
Presentation ends: 8:30
