What is Night of Noise?

Night of Noise follows the Day of Silence, a day of remembrance for lost community members and support for LGBTQ+ youth facing bullying and harassment. In 2024, it was renamed Day of NO Silence in response to over 800 anti-LGBTQ bills. In 2025, 738 anti-trans bills have been proposed, with 677 still active, threatening hard-won rights. Night of Noise unites our community, reminding us that no one fights alone

  • Purpose: To empower LGBTQ+ youth and break barriers of hate; protest school bullying, political issues, equality, and anti discrimination; to foster a sense of community, celebration and bring visibility.
  • Activities: The event includes a battle of the bands, drag performances, craft activities, food, punk fashion show, sign making and a march!
  • Breaking the Silence: It serves as a literal or symbolic, end to the Day of Silence, where we "break the wall of hate".

Night of Noise, renamed from Day of Silence in 2024 responds to a rise in anti-LGBTQ legislation, with significant focus on anti-trans bills.
