Boulder Movie Club: Leaving Las Vegas In-Person

Watch films on the big screen in the Canyon Theater. Think of this as a book club for movies, where cinephiles get together to discuss and dissect great movies in a communal setting - with free drinks and snacks provided! Discussion can happen before, after and once or twice during the movie. Doors open at 6 p.m., movie starts at 6:30 p.m.

This week is "Leaving Las Vegas" starring Nicolas Cage and Elizabeth Shue. A down-and-out alcoholic screenwriter decides to commit suicide by going on a final bender in Sin City. During his self-destructive final days, he falls in love with a prostitute. R, 112 min

Please use the North Side Canyon Entrance if arriving after 6:30 p.m. Free parking is available in the Canyon or Arapahoe lots. To reach the theater from the Arapahoe lot, you can cross the creek using the exterior bridge. Doors for after-hour events typically close 30 minutes after the event starts. This timing is based on the discretion of the event organizer, and late admission is not guaranteed.
