Water is the foundation of life and civilization. Everything we do from agriculture to chip manufacturing requires fresh water. The tremendous rate at which these industries use water and the warming climate mean that fresh water has become scarce. What uses for water should we prioritize? How do we protect communities at risk of water shortage? Who owns rights to water and how do we regulate these rights?
