Transgender Day of Remembrance Lantern Making and Memorial In-Person
Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20th that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. You are invited to join trans activist and community leader, R.J. Quirk (they/them), in a memorial workshop to decorate lanterns with printed portraits and messages of hope. These lanterns will be displayed in a week-long community vigil at the North Boulder Library, after which, they may be taken home by workshop participants.
R.J. Quirk is the producer and host of the Trans Embodiment Podcast. They run regular community programming for gender non-conforming folks in Northern Colorado, including a trans leadership support group. They are also known for their erotic poetry performances in the Boulder Poetry scene.
