Jerry's bio: From undergraduate fine arts classes at Penn State (1967) to getting a Masters in Landscape Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania (1973) I became interested in photography, sketching and painting early in my career. In the 1980’s I was a graduate school teacher at the UCD School of Architecture /Planning and taught design studios and history of landscape architecture. At Shapins Associates Boulder Colorado 1991-2007, I led projects and designed city parks, streets, and public space projects. Since becoming an artist in 2008 I regularly sketch and paint urban settings, poetic people places, landscapes, hill towns, atmosphere and wildlife. Jerry has also been active in local community service projects and initiatives including volunteer positions with: Boulder Goose Creek Neighbors, NoBo Art District, Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver Art Museum, Boulder Downtown Management Commission, East Boulder Transportation Plan Working Group, Downtown Boulder Mobility Working Group and more.
