Pages and Paws In-Person
Read with a licensed therapy dog. Practice reading skills in a safe, non-judgmental environment. For ages 5-12. Registration required. One 15-minute timeslot per child. A staff member will email you with your child's assigned start time prior to the session. For questions, please email Wynell Webster at websterw@boulderlibrary.org.
PLEASE NOTE: This program is designed to help build your child’s confidence and independence in reading. Participating children will practice reading one-on-one with a service dog, allowing them to take ownership of the process, make mistakes, build confidence, and develop self-reliance without an audience—key ingredients in growing as a confident reader. In our small study rooms, the service dogs are best equipped to work with individual school-aged readers. Caregivers and siblings are welcome to sit in a chair directly outside the room.
Page and Paws takes place on the first, second and third Wednesday of the month.
