Chop Shop: Button-up

Chop Shop: Button-up In-Person

Chop Shop is an invitation to reimagine our wardrobes and empower participants to take agency over the fit, styling, and embellishment of their clothing. We’ll upcycle by shopping our own closets with a different focus each week.  In this workshop style class, we will brainstorm techniques and practice skills to achieve your unique fashion goals.  Chop Shop is not a place for your most precious garments, but instead a place to play with items that aren’t quite right. Previous sewing experience is encouraged but not required and bravery can go a long way.  Let’s go chopping!

Bring two, large for you, button-up shirts to cut up and recombine into a unique garment.

Sewing machine, serger, thread and tools will be provided. Upcycle your wardrobe!

DIY Studio

July-October in STUDIO 24

Boulder Public Library presents DIY Studio in STUDIO 24! Over the course of four months, this program series invites makers to increase their own agency. From gardening and home repair to cooking, mending, electronics, zines, and more, our classes will provide the skills and confidence needed to tackle home and rental improvement projects, connect with the earth, understand your food, and support your community.  DIY Studio will empower you to do-it-yourself and give you the confidence to tackle any hands-on project that comes your way.
