STUDIO 24: Intro to Arduino In-Person
Join community educator and creative technologist Shawn Hymel for our “Introduction to Arduino” workshop, perfect for beginners eager to dive into the world of electronics and programming. In this hands-on session, you'll learn the basics of using an Arduino board, a cornerstone tool for building digital devices and interactive objects.
We'll start by guiding you through the creation of simple LED circuits—teaching you how to wire an LED and control it using Arduino code to make it blink. Then, we'll explore light-sensitive electronics by introducing a photoresistor sensor, which allows your project to react to lighting conditions. You will have the chance to apply your skills in challenges to make a nightlight or other interactive project.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have a solid foundation in Arduino essentials and the confidence to start building your own electronics projects. No prior experience is necessary, and Arduino hardware will be provided. You can bring your own laptop or use a laptop at STUDIO 24.
