STUDIO 24: LED Lights for Artists In-Person

This workshop is geared towards adult artists and creatives of all types, from beginners to professionals. We will explore how to incorporate programmable color-changing LED lights into artwork and art practices. We'll start by exploring the aesthetics of light, and lighting effects. Next, you'll learn how to code LED lights to change colors and create unique lighting patterns. Finally, you'll have an opportunity to strategize about how you might incorporate LED lights into your practice in a supportive and collaborative group environment. No experience with electronics or coding is required. Experience with creating artwork in any media or format and at any skill level is preferred.

Electronics Studio

From April to June, STUDIO 24 will be dedicated to playful and practical explorations of electronics. Classes and drop-in experiences will cover a variety of topics from the fundamentals of circuits and coding to creative projects that bring technology and art together. Electronics studio experiences will be facilitated by Maker-In-Residence, Ayesha Wilson, alongside Creative Technologists and community educators. Electronics studio is for everyone! Whether you're an experienced tinkerer or you're brand new to electronics, we invite you to create, learn, and explore topics in electronics in a supportive and creative community space.

Electronics Maker-in-Residence:

Ayesha Wilson (she/her) is an Electrical Engineer in climate tech by day and a maker by night. She enjoys blending mixed media with electronics to create engaging projects for STEAM outreach. Ayesha loves showing beginners how to craft with electronics to improve accessibility to STEAM fields.
