STUDIO 24: It's Alive! Breathing life into your projects with technology In-Person
Have you ever wanted to make your wizard hats talk, your swords glow, or your suitcases walk? Technology can help! In this workshop taught by Caileigh Hudson, you will learn how to add sound, motion, lighting and more to your props, cosplays and crafts! In this workshop, we’ll explore the elements of a complex prop: learning how to hide our electronics effectively, and diving into the world of microprocessors. Please bring items you would like to modify!
About the instructor: Caileigh Hudson is a Materials Engineer and artist. With a degree in Creative, Technology and Design engineering, she has made all sorts of projects with electronics, CAD, sewing, mold making, and more. Currently, they work at The Children’s Museum of Denver, creating interactive exhibits for all ages.
Electronics Studio
From April to June, STUDIO 24 will be dedicated to playful and practical explorations of electronics. Classes and drop-in experiences will cover a variety of topics from the fundamentals of circuits and coding to creative projects that bring technology and art together. Electronics studio experiences will be facilitated by Maker-In-Residence, Ayesha Wilson, alongside Creative Technologists and community educators. Electronics studio is for everyone! Whether you're an experienced tinkerer or you're brand new to electronics, we invite you to create, learn, and explore topics in electronics in a supportive and creative community space.
