Studio 24: Introduction to Physical Computing using Arduino In-Person
This week-long workshop series is a hands-on introduction to physical computing using the popular Arduino microcontroller platform. Learn how to put together simple electronic circuits and write programs (Arduino "sketches") to create projects that light up, move, and make sound. We’ll be using the Seeed Studio Grove Beginner Kit for Arduino which is very easy to use while also being expandable and flexible for future projects. This workshop is designed for those with no prior programming experience and is suitable for tweens, teens, and adults.
Important notes:
- participants under the age of 14 must have an adult caregiver present
- this is a week-long series where workshops will build on each other. Please only register if you can be present for each session
Electronics Studio
From April to June, STUDIO 24 will be dedicated to playful and practical explorations of electronics. Classes and drop-in experiences will cover a variety of topics from the fundamentals of circuits and coding to creative projects that bring technology and art together. Electronics studio experiences will be facilitated by Maker-In-Residence, Ayesha Wilson, alongside Creative Technologists and community educators. Electronics studio is for everyone! Whether you're an experienced tinkerer or you're brand new to electronics, we invite you to create, learn, and explore topics in electronics in a supportive and creative community space.
