STUDIO 24: Adaptive Zine-Making

STUDIO 24: Adaptive Zine-Making In-Person

Join us for an arts workshop for everyone with adaptive curriculum to be inclusive of youth and people with disabilities. Zines are a do it yourself (DIY) way to self-publish visual information and/or the written word. In this workshop, we will learn how to fold mini-zines, how to design zines, and how to create reproductions of your zine. There will be collage materials, a variety of dry media (pastels, markers, etc), and a variety of pre-designed zines with prompts to inspire your inner poet, inner activist, or creative mind. This workshop is a fantastic fit for anyone who is interested in deepening creative expression through combining the written word and images.

Ages / Caregivers: This workshop is designed for people ages 5+ (14 and under require adult supervision and support). Caregivers who do not plan to participate do not need to sign up for a slot.

Access Description: There are fluorescent lights in the space. There are high stools with backs, stools, and office chairs available. The space can be loud when full with participants. Service animals as defined by the ADA are welcome.
