BLDG 61: Learn to Mill & Dimension Lumber In-Person

Dimensioning your lumber is the first step to any woodworking project. Learn to dimension hardwood and softwood lumber and take a rough sawn piece of wood and transform it into a flat, straight board ready to turn into the project of your dreams.

 

We’ll cover tool safety, wood moisture and movement, and operating the jointer and planer.

 

No experience necessary, Intro to Woodworking class is recommended. Age 18 & older. Registration required.

This class will be at the BLDG 61 Makerspace in the Main Library. Here are directions and parking information for the Main Library. Our Makerspace classes often have long waitlists.
