Poetry and Music for Healing the Earth for Boulder Arts Week In-Person
Join award winning poet Valerie A Szarek and Billboard Magazine award winning singer songwriter Laurie D (Laurie Dameron) for Boulder Arts Week. We will focus on love, spirituality, social and environmental justice in honor of April for Earth Day.
Valerie A. Szarek is an award-winning performance Poet and Native American Flute player. Her poems are healing, present, political, and Shamanic, and cross between the seen and unseen worlds effortlessly.
Billboard Magazine award recipient, Laurie Dameron, has been playing the guitar for over 50 years and singing even longer. Between solo performances and performances with her band she has performed for hundreds of venues in and out of Colorado over the past 35 years. She has produced three albums and three singles and working on two new albums. Laurie is also an environmental activist.
This event is organized by a community partner and hosted by the Boulder Public Library.
