Spotlight: A Boulder Notoriety Show - Solstice Show

Spotlight: A Boulder Notoriety Show - Solstice Show In-Person

Spotlight is a monthly variety show for performing artists of all disciplines—musicians, poets, dancers, filmmakers, live painters, comedians, thespians, story tellers, and more—to share their talents in the library's Canyon Theater, a two-hundred-person auditorium with state-of-the-art sound, projection, and lighting. Performers must register in advance to sign-up. Open to any Colorado (or visiting) artist. This event is free and open to the public. Join us for a night of notorious entertainment.

Featuring:

  • Emily Pennington: A journalist and musician with roots in musical theater and circus arts. Performs  her partner Oliver as Trouble’s Braids, which blends Americana folk and grungy acoustic sets.
  • Cat Jensen: A queer, disabled, neurodiverse historian, actor, and educator. Their writing explores stardust, inhabiting an unfamiliar body, and love against the odds.
  • El Rice: A cellist, guitarist, and singer-songwriter El Rice shares original music through their solo project El Ray Cello and as part of Denver’s Fables of the Fall.
  • Amália Mayer: Amália presents Quem Fica (“Who Remains”), a Brazilian dance born from distance and transformation.
  • And more!
