Pages and Paws In-Person
Read with a licensed therapy dog. Practice reading skills in a safe, non-judgmental environment. For ages 5-12. Registration required. One 15-minute timeslot per child. A staff member will email you with your child's assigned start time prior to the session. For questions, please email Wynell Webster at websterw@boulderlibrary.org.
To help build your child’s confidence and independence in reading, it can be incredibly beneficial for them to practice reading to the dog on their own, without a parent present. This allows them to take ownership of the process, make mistakes, and develop self-reliance—key ingredients in growing as a confident reader. However, you are welcome to sit in a chair directly outside the room.
Page and Paws takes place on the first, second and third Wednesday of the month.
On first Wednesdays, you'll read with Greta or Jasmine!
Boulder Public Library would like to thank everyone who has generously donated to the Boulder Library Foundation. Your financial support funds library programs such as Summer of Discovery, BoulderReads, the Teen Space, BLDG 61 and many more.
