Motus Theater’s Youth Behind & Beyond Bars: Stories from the Frontlines of the Juvenile Legal System brings powerful, artistically-crafted personal stories from adults who survived incarceration as youth. These moving autobiographical monologues lift the curtain on the realities of the juvenile legal system while inspiring action toward true justice. Featuring musical responses from the nationally acclaimed and regionally loved duo The ReMINDers.
Audiences: This performance includes mature themes related to youth incarceration. Recommended for middle school-aged youth and older, with parental guidance.
This event is organized by a community partner and hosted by the Boulder Public Library. Please use the North Side Canyon Entrance if arriving after 6:30 p.m. Parking is available in both the Canyon and Arapahoe lots. To reach the theater from the Arapahoe lot, you can cross the creek using the exterior bridge. Doors for after hours events typically close 30 minutes after the event starts. This timing is based on the discretion of the event organizer and late admission is not guaranteed.
