Irish Ceili at NoBo with McTeggart Irish Dancers In-Person
Continue your St. Patrick's Day celebrations at this Irish dance party! We'll have dancers performing, crafts and activities for all ages, snacks and drinks--and you'll even learn a few Irish ceili dances yourself. Come and enjoy the craic (fun) of Irish dance and culture with our community!
McTeggart is the oldest school of Irish Dance in Colorado, and the first Irish Dance school founded west of the Mississippi River. It was originally founded in Cork, Ireland in 1939 by sisters Maureen and Peggy McTeggart, who immigrated to America and continued teaching Irish dance and heritage to Irish-American communities in the Mountain West. Ranging in age from 4 to 24, the McTeggart Dancers are known for their intricate, colorful costumes, as well as their fast feet and rhythmic precision. They have schools up and down the Front Range, as well as in far-flung places like Kentucky, California, New Mexico, and Alaska.
