BLDG 61: Make a Wood Cutting Board In-Person

Come learn how to make a simple wood cutting board. You’ll get hands on experience with several tools such as a bandsaw, drill press, router and sander. This is the perfect intro class to get you started in woodworking!

No experience necessary, all skill levels welcome. Age 18 & older. Registration required.

Closed toed shoes required

No baggy clothing, dangly jewelry, or loose long hair

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times. PPE is provided by BLDG 61 but you are welcome to bring your own. This includes safety glasses and a respirator. Hearing protection may be used with discretion.

Respect all staff instruction and safety information

Cleanup all wood dust/shavings and put away all equipment used

Do not talk to or distract others operating tools

Wait for all blades to come to a complete stop before reaching for wood pieces

Get training on a tool before use

Ask staff for support when unsure
