STUDIO 24: Intro to Relief Printing In-Person
Join artist Teague McDaniel (they/them) for an introductory printmaking workshop. In this workshop you will learn the basic concept of relief printing, have time to design and carve your own EZ Cut block, and complete a series of your own prints. This workshop is open to the public and great for anyone interested in learning about printmaking.
Adaptive aspects include:
- Carving tools and materials will include tools designed for use with differing grip strength
- Mitigation of sounds, lights, and overall stimulation (there is moderate sensory input in the teaching classroom that cannot be reduced)
- Support available in the printing process
Pre-carved blocks and alternative print strategies available
- Written Instructions available with some visuals
- Time warnings, introduction of materials, and on demand instructional scaffolding
- Designed specifically for ages five and up, people with disabilities, and entry level printmakers.
- Youth 14 and under are permitted with adult supervision.
Supplies provided. If you would like to come with a sketch or two of a design you are welcome to do so.
