Oubaitori Japanese Flower Exhibition In-Person
Oubaitori “桜梅桃李” Cherry, Plum, Apricot and Peach
We invite you to explore individuality through a celebration of flowers. The Japanese concept of Oubaitori observes the qualities of plants, fruits, and flowers each unique in their own way without comparison. Focus on the rhythms, colors, and aromas of flowers to learn about your own growth and values. Over 50 beautiful Ikebana creations will highlight the season and inspire you in the Canyon Gallery. Featured on display will be Edo Period scrolls, Japanese flower arrangements and art works from Japan.
Join us on Saturday, December 7th for an Ikebana demonstration at 2:00 p.m. in the Canyon Theater. On Sunday, December 8th at 1:00 p.m. we will demonstrate an Ikebana Ceremony rarely seen in the U.S, followed by a Japanese Tea Ceremony at 2:00 p.m. in the Canyon Theater.
Presented by the Official Colorado Chapter of the Ikenobo Ikebana Society of America www.ikebanaikenobokado.com
