External Event: Arabic Literature Discussion Group In-Person
The Arabic Literature Group reads books originally written in Arabic (or occasionally French) that have been translated into English. Since the group began in 1996, it has discussed works from Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, and Yemen. The group usually meets on the first Monday of the month from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in the Main Library's Flatirons Conference Room. Remote participants may join the discussions using Jitsi. A history of and schedule for the group can be found at http://www.sackett.net/arabic_lit.htm.
This event is not hosted by the Boulder Public Library and may be updated, changed, or canceled with little notice. This program is produced by a community partner - we hope you enjoy!
