Most of us love going to concerts, or being outside in nature. There are so many sounds that surround us, but how much do we actively listen to what’s happening? This workshop will guide us through the basics of how to listen more attentively to the sounds around us, whether it be music, nature sounds, and the sounds of industry. We will then take a silent walking tour around some Boulder environments, actively listening to things that may have gone unnoticed. When we return, we will find out what people experienced and how everyone’s experiences add up to a sonic “portrait” of the city.

Location: Flagstaff Meeting Room @ Main

All attendees must fill out our Acknowledgement of Risk and Release Form prior to use of makerspace.
