Make discoveries with interactive technologies at this week-long teen design internship! During the week you will get hands-on experience making your ideas come to life with portable electronics, 3D printers, Makey Makey's (sounds and circuits), laser cutters, and more. We will explore our natural environment to gain inspiration for our projects, and think deeply about how to communicate our ideas so they are accessible to all.
The mission of this internship is to Build a Better Book; creating multi-modal picture books (using different maker technologies) to be accessible to children with visual impairments or other disabilities to help inform and inspire a new wave of picture book aesthetics, considerations and practices.
This internship is for ages 13-18 only.
This is a free internship, student application below. Accepted students will be notified by early July.
This camp includes snacks, but students should provide their own lunch and alert instructors to any food allergies.
Funded by NSF grant in conjunction with the University of Colorado Boulder.
